West Street at night. It was full of western food cafes, shops selling batik cloth, antiques, and handicrafts. Alison and I went a little bit nuts with all the shopping, and now our house looks a bit like a store... but oh well.

It is easy to see why so many people flock to this place from all over China. At sundown, there were at least 20 photographers lined here competing for space.

Near the river, farming continues as it has for decades. This woman was getting water into her buckets and watering her crops. After seeing where the water she was using came from, I know why salads never really caught on in China.

With the sun coming down, we headed back to Yangshou for a wonderful dinner of Cheeseburgers and canniole, and then onto the sleeper bus that took us bak to Guangzhou.
